Deadmau5 and Mandy or Giant’s Downtown Party..

•November 30, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Been having a lot of fun at Spin in San Diego lately.. they keep bringing in amazing talent (well mostly). Sharam dec 5 then Hernan Cattaneo is up Dec 12th so I have a few things to look forward to.

Still trying to decide on what I am doing for new years eve. Currently the two events I’m trying to decide between are Giant Maximus in downtown LA and Together as One 2008-09 at the La Sports Arena. MANDY and Deadmau5 would be fun to see but I don’t have much interest in anyone else on the lineup at TAO. The Giant lineup is equally as boring but I love Giant events and haven’t been to one in a long time.

I’ll figure it out soon enough and am sure both will be tons of fun.

Thats it for now.. eDub

2008 Monster Massive Was Top Notch

monster massive 2008 was everything I had hoped it would be. The talent that I was interested in seeing tore their respective areas up. Steve Lawler was dropping some twisted tracks that made me dance well into the morning. Pete Tong also was phenomenal. One DJ I’ve always heard so many great things about- Judge Jules- played an annoying hard-house-ish set which quickly had me heading for the main area’s exit. The noise coming from the main arena’s system along with the over abundance of people sitting on the dance floor was enough for me to spend the rest of the night at the other areas.
Check out pics and monster massive 2008 videos and pics at http://www.socalsinistersounds.com/ .

Thanks to all who made my evening one to remember.. from the cell phone i found and spent entirely too long trying and eventually getting it back into its owners hands- to the cute girl who thanked me endlessly for using my free cell phone minutes trying to hear her friend over the music.

Southern California Electronic Music Hub – Sinister Sounds‘ domain is up and content is being added as fast as I can manage. The posse is heading up to 2008 Monster Massive in los angeles on the 25th and will hopefully see some of you there. Electronic music mixes and DJ profiles from local talent as well as DJs from around the world should be up soon. Please direct all questions regarding nightclubs in San Diego, Southern California raves and any other comments to the our new domain and be sure to check our internet music stream directory and our local and international DJs profiles.

After taking a very extended break from the massive scene I decided to venture up to Nocturnal Wonderland (it will never be nocturnal festival for me :P ) and I must say that I had an extremely good time. Superb talent, amazing sound, tons of party people with relatively low amount of traffic / entry lines combined to make me miss my days as an avid “massive goer”. I might have to pay another massive a visit.. always wanted to see Steve Lawler who is playing at Monster Massive this October.

Creeping back onto the So Cal electronic scene..

Whats up all?

Join me as I re-visit the Los Angeles and San Diego underground electronic music scene (if it still exist).

Last week I had the pleasure of dancing like a fool to the beats of Derek Carter down at Club Spin. Most will remember this venue as Montage. From a business stand point there could have been a few more people.. from my dancing stand point.. it was the perfect amount of people. Hopefully Spin takes off giving San Diego house heads a place worth the effort of going out.

Next up: Nocturnal Wonderland (Nocturnal Festival)
Pics/Vid/Whitty commentary will be posted soon!
